Version 2.0.0 Release Date: 12th of May 2026

Major Product Update: Bring Your Own Key

  • Bring Your Own Key workflow:

    • ChartGPT now uses provider-owned API keys instead of Trading Neural-managed AI credits.
    • Supported provider setup covers OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Brave Search, and Replicate where applicable.
    • AI usage is billed directly by the selected provider.
    • Provider keys are configured inside ChartGPT under Options > AI Providers.

  • TN key sign-in:

    • Desktop activation now uses the Trading Neural email address plus a ChartGPT desktop key.
    • New desktop keys use the TN- prefix.
    • Subscription ID and password login have been removed from the current setup flow.

  • Trials and paid access:

    • Trial users receive a desktop key by email and keep the same key if they upgrade with the same email address.
    • Expired trials are blocked from desktop access and directed to purchase a license.
    • Paid lifetime customers receive one active seat by default.

  • Options window rewrite:

    • The Options page now documents the current Options, AI Providers, Maintenance, and About tabs.
    • Legacy Announcements and Usage Log instructions were removed from current guidance.

  • AI providers and usage monitoring:

    • Static Free, Personal, and Pro model matrices were replaced with provider-driven model guidance.
    • Model availability is now described as dependent on the provider account and the selected workflow.
    • Provider key pages and usage dashboards are now documented so users know where to create keys and monitor spend.

  • Licensing reliability:

    • Desktop sessions now use short heartbeats for seat enforcement.
    • Device activity writes are throttled to reduce unnecessary server writes.
    • Existing legacy APP- keys remain valid, while new keys are issued as TN- keys.

Bug Fixes:

  • Installation Improvements:

    • Fixed setup issue where files weren’t properly copying to the NinjaTrader 8 bin custom folder.
    • Indicators now appear naturally in the NinjaTrader indicators list after installation.

  • Audio Recording Fix:

    • Resolved an issue where stopping audio recording for a new note would show an ID error message, though the audio was still being saved correctly.

  • UI and Functionality Fixes:

    • Fixed chat not loading due to a mistyped dependency related to the busy signal.
    • Enhanced the Calendar tab to display complete information including instrument, model, and time frame, matching the display format of other tabs.

  • Web Search Capability:

  • Enhanced Installation Experience:

    • Installation Error Visibility: The installer now displays detailed error messages during the installation process, improving troubleshooting and ensuring a smoother setup.

Bug Fixes:

  • Assistant Streaming Issue:

    • Fixed the issue where assistant messages would disappear when switching tabs during an in-flight streaming response. The messages now persist correctly when navigating away and back to the chat.

  • Optimized Asynchronous Processing:

    • Refined the asynchronous processing of streaming response data and UI updates to create a smoother, more reliable user experience.

  • Improved Error Handling & Logging:

    • Enhanced error handling in the streaming and session-handling logic to provide clearer diagnostics in case of issues.

Version 1.1.0 Release Date: 9th of September 2014
  • Fixed issue when Tick Replay is enabled on the chart. We have redone the data request flow so that regardless of the amount of data on the chart or if Tick Replay is enabled ChartGPT will only deal with its own data.
  • Fixed time zone issues with the Calendar Tab. The Calendar Tab now correctly displays events in the user’s local time zone.
  • Added full weekly calendar access.
