Updating ChartGPT
Software updates
Section titled “Software updates”Software updates apply to the ChartGPT add-on installed on your Windows machine. They can include:
- new ChartGPT features
- bug fixes
- provider integration updates
- installation improvements
- new local options or workflow changes
How to update
Section titled “How to update”- Sign in to the Trading Neural customer portal.
- Open the downloads area.
- Download the latest ChartGPT installer.
- Close NinjaTrader before installing.
- Run the installer over your existing ChartGPT installation.
- Open NinjaTrader and confirm ChartGPT loads.
- Review the Changelog for anything that affects your workflow.
Provider model updates
Section titled “Provider model updates”Provider models are different from ChartGPT software updates.
ChartGPT can refresh available models from providers after you configure a key in Options > AI Providers. Providers can add, remove, rename, or restrict models without a ChartGPT software release.
If a model list looks stale:
- Confirm the provider key is saved.
- Confirm the provider account is active and has API access.
- Refresh the model list in ChartGPT.
- Check Advanced Model Visibility if you previously hid a model.
Before updating
Section titled “Before updating”- Save work in NinjaTrader.
- Close NinjaTrader before running the installer.
- Keep your provider API keys available in case you need to re-enter them.
- Check the About tab after installation if support asks for the installed version.
